The Trump Administration Is Off The Rails
Donald Trump’s presidency has always been defined by fear-mongering, unconstitutional overreach, and racist immigration policies. Now, his administration is doubling down on efforts to circumvent the courts, violate due process, and push extreme, authoritarian deportation policies.
This month, the Trump administration directly defied a federal judge’s order (or a couple dozen if you’re counting) by deporting individuals before the ruling could take effect. This isn’t just cruel—it’s a blatant abuse of power. His team is invoking the Alien Enemies Act of 1798, an archaic law used in some of our country’s darkest times, to justify mass deportations without judicial oversight.
This is the reality of Trump’s America:
- Deportation flights rushed out of the country before judges could intervene.
- A renewed push to criminalize asylum seekers and Dreamers.
- Open threats against protesters and political opponents.
- A playbook straight out of authoritarian regimes that use fear and nationalism to justify abuses of power.
This is why we fight. And we must fight together.
